What is a Brownfield?
'Brownfields' are properties that are contaminated by various pollutants that used to be common in factories or industrial sites. Cleaning up and reinvesting in these properties has many benefits, like increasing our tax base, growing jobs, taking development pressures off of undeveloped, open land, and improving and protecting our environment.
Explore the interactive map below to read about the history and current uses of sites that have been successfully redeveloped or are in progress.
Investors take notice! Properties marked on the map with a green check are available for redevelopment and list relevant information for zoning.
